The Middle School Winter Dance

Jessie had her first school dance for middle school. Her and her friends went together. Apparently she had a great time. She reported afterwords that she was asked to dance twice by eigth graders...Of course she said yes. She told me the other day that she was not my baby girl anymore. After seeing her in her dress and makeup I think she is right.

Parsons Halloween 2009

We had a good Halloween this year. The neighbors on our court get into the spirit. Sam and I sat on our front porch to pass out candy while the kids walked around with the other kids and their parents on our court. I even had our neighborhood cat, Harry, to keep my lap warm. It was slightly chilly and the warm cat and hot coffee helped. I think Samuel brought home more candy than we passed out. He did bring home better candy than we passed out that's for sure.

Mandy's visit in October

Mandy and William were able to come back and visit in October. Mandy had a conference to go to so William spent his days with Mamaw. I unfortunatley did not get a lot of pictures, but did get these pictures before they left.

Kelsey Farm Visit

We spent the day at Kelsey Dairy Farm on Saturday. We went on a hay ride, played in the hay tunnels, got lost in the corn maze and picked out our pumpkins. It was cold but very fun.

Jessie

I know that it seems like a lot of the pictures are of Samuel this year but Jessie has been around. She seems to have spent most of her spare time with her boyfriend Kaleb. We see her every once in a while. She also likes to be our photographer so she is behind the camera instead of in the pictures.

Cub Scout Family Camp Out 2009

Samuel joined Cub Scouts this year. We had our first family camp out in September and we had a blast. The coyotes ran through camp and howled and yipped all night. We are definately looking forward to the spring family camp out now.

Samuel's 10th Birthday

Samuel had a sleep over for his 10th birthday. I didn't know that having three boys in the house would be so much fun (for a short time anyways). We had sumo wrestling, sleeping bag surfing, pillow fights and pigpiles. They had me in stitches with their antics.

Pinic at Atterbury

August seemed like a busy month with Mandy's visit, school starting, and I had surgery. So we took a relaxing day to have a picnic at Atterbury. We went down to the Big Blue River and played in the water for a while. It was quiet and peaceful.

Mady's visit in August

Mandy, Andy and William came home for a visit in August. We took the kids to the park and Andy was our photographer.

The First Day of School 2009-Samuel

Summer just seems to go too fast. Once we got Jessie up and on the bus it was time to work with Samuel. He was not as excited to get up as his sister was.

We know that the kids have been in school for several years now but this was a special year as Jessie started Middle School and it was the first year she has had to ride the bus.
